Creator Engine grew from that experience, creating a highly creative team that could evolve with new formats, platforms and release models while helping great stories get told.
Gavin Barclay brings two decades of experience across film, television and digital media. As SVP of SIM Digital’s post division, he oversaw more than 100 films and series each year, including Game of Thrones, Mr. Robot and Pacific Rim. At Netflix, he helped establish its first dedicated APAC post-production team, delivering titles such as Squid Game, Kingdom and Sacred Games.
With over 17 years in nonfiction post-production, Samya Bhattacharya began as an editor, working across India’s leading reality and unscripted formats before leading nonfiction post-production teams at Hotstar and Netflix. He set up post-production teams for acclaimed titles including the Oscar-winning The Elephant Whisperers and Filmfare Award-winning The Hunt for Veerappan, as well as House of Secrets: Behind Closed Doors.
Vijay Venkataramanan began his career at DDB Los Angeles before returning to India as a film editor and post-production supervisor. At Amazon, he enabled post teams across Bangalore, Beijing and Chennai to collaborate on campaigns over the cloud. He later joined Netflix India as Director of Post Production, where he led a team delivering over 60 original titles spanning scripted series, feature films and non-fiction.
Across previous roles, the founders have worked on productions including Squid Game, Sacred Games, Delhi Crime, The Elephant Whisperers (Academy Award winner), Suits, MasterChef, House of Secrets and Behind Closed Doors.
